Businesses that pay suppliers abroad ask the same question after every payment, and a second one follows it: send me the proof. Digital dollars now settle in seconds, and the category shows that speed with globes, glass coins and network lines.

What a trader wants to see is simpler: both ends of the same payment, checked.

How do you let two businesses, hours apart, check the same payment the way anyone checks a note?

A banknote is trusted because anyone holding it can check it. Held to the light, a see-through register appears: half a symbol printed on each side, whole only when the two align. The ring in nota's wordmark, from the spot we made for the brand, was already that register.

So it became the product's promise: the sender's half and the receiver's half of every payment register when the money lands.

The o of the wordmark is a guilloché ring: ten lines between two rules, drawn from their own formula as outlined masters. Its band is exactly the stroke of Mori's o, so it sits in the word as a letter. Printed as a split fountain, ultramarine into vermilion, it is the only place the brand's two inks meet.

Below 40 pixels the lattice would close up, so a two-strand weave takes over: the app icon, the favicon at 16 pixels, and the o of the wordmark under 160 pixels wide.

Every layout splits at a centre line. The sender's half is set to the seam and the receiver's from it, on one baseline; only the ring and the serial may cross. In motion, the halves roll in from opposite edges and lock with a detent, and only then does the light rise through them.

Mori carries every word people read. Right Grotesk Compact sets currency codes, each in its own ink, so a balance reads at a glance. Fraktion Mono has one job: the serial that both halves of a receipt share.

Cotton paper makes the page. Ultramarine marks the sender's end and vermilion the receiver's, and amber appears only when something registers, as light through paper.

Every photograph shows someone checking goods against the light: cloth held to the morning sun in Lagos, oil to a mill window in Jaén, a stone to a workshop window in Jaipur. Each comes in a pair, one frame at each end of the same payment, in two places and two lights. The goods carry the colour; the brand's inks are already in the cloth.

Plain and exact, warm through places and times rather than adjectives. Wherever a payment is described, both ends appear: two places, two times, two currencies and one serial. The same care reaches the hard moments: a payment held for a check says why, for how long, and where the money is.

The receipt is the proof both businesses keep, and the card carries only the sender's half of the ring: every payment completes it. The app shows each payment from both ends. Out of home, the pair runs at city scale in Lagos and at a bus stop in Antwerp, each at one end of the trade it shows.

The site opens on the two photographs at the page's edges. Scrolling brings them together, the ring's halves roll in with them and lock on the seam, and the light rises through both pictures. Below, a live quote shows what you send and what they receive, and any receipt can be checked by its serial.
